What to do when your neighbor opens up a business…

…partner up! An often overlooked and untapped method for acquiring new customers and beefing up your client base is to establish partnerships with other local businesses. One of the best, most effective, ways to get your business’ name out there is through word of mouth. Whether it’s through a family member, friend, or fellow small business owner – 92% of customers believe recommendations from those they have relationships with, over all forms of advertising.

What to say to your customer looking for a good business recommendation…

…how about you try out the place next door? That’s right, this partnership goes two ways. Make sure you’re partnering up with complementary businesses that won’t cannibalize your own sales (duh) and make sure you’re giving as much as you’re getting.
