What to do when your Yelp page has 0 reviews…

...start thinking of ways to get more customer reviews. Customer reviews do more than just boost your online reputation, they also help to increase your bottom line. 88% of customers use online reviews when selecting a local business. If you’ve failed to amass any online reviews, you might be missing out on valuable business.

There are 3 very important sites to get your online reviews made visible: Yelp, Google, and Facebook, especially when you’re trying to attract the millennial customer. We’ve been preaching this over and over again, but if you haven’t done so already, we urge you to set those pages up!

So, how do I start getting more customer reviews and how can I use that to my advantage?

The more customer reviews you get, the more of a trusted business you become -- from people finding you on a review site to friends and family getting referred from your existing customers. You want to foster a sense of customer loyalty at your business because it’s your existing customers that will be helping you grow your business. Either manually, or through an automated marketing software, you should be trying your best to gradually increase your online reviews and watch your appointment book fill up!

Great! But what to do with those negative reviews…

...use them wisely! There are many effective ways to deal with negative online reviews. Don’t be afraid of them, and instead, use them to your advantage. Learn from them and learn from what your less-than-happy customers are really looking for at a service business like yours. Nothing wrong with a little critical customer feedback.
