.Think back to your current POS system…is it outdated? If you’re sitting there nodding your head, yes, then consider a few things before you dive into implementing a new system. There’s a difference between an adequate POS system and a great one. Here are the signs for a great point of sale: integrates with online booking, decreases extra costs, includes functionality for loyalty programs, and can integrate with e-commerce.

What do you say to the customer that doesn’t know what to buy his wife… about purchasing a gift certificate? With your upgraded POS system, you’ll have the ability to sell gift certificates, a surefire method in boosting sales, especially around the holidays. Once marketed properly, through your social channels, local advertisement, and in the form of loyalty points, you’ll see the difference that could come from selling your gift certificates.

What do you do about that last-minute cancellation problem you’ve been having…

…start charge them. A POS system that integrates with your online booking has the ability to process no-show and cancellation fees. Once your customer decides that he or she won’t be making it to their appointment, you’ll be able to automatically charge them for their absence. This will encourage your customers to keep their appointments while reducing the potential loss you would endure with each cancellation.
