5 Spring Hair Trends to Look Out For

The spring season has a way of bringing along  fresh starts and new beginnings of all sorts. The chill in the air starts to drift away and vibrant flowers continue to blossom - and with so much change happening with the season, your clients may be inspired to switch up their look. It comes as no surprise that hair trends change from year-to-year and season-to-season, so we're here to fill you in on some of the hottest haircuts that your clients may request this spring.

Take a look at these Booker customers that are keeping up with spring's five hottest haircut trends.

1. The Minimalist Bob
This style is perfect for a woman on-the-go who is looking for wash-and-wear haircut. Its low-maintenance nature lends itself to its simplistic nature of being mostly one length, or with minimal layers, making it ideal for clients with fine hair. For a more edgy vibe, you could chop the length all the way up to the ear - but we mostly see ladies flaunting a chin-grazing length. This modern cut was created by our friends over at Kroma Salon and was enhanced with beach waves for an effortless and chic vibe.

2. The Long Pixie
Spring of 2017 was definitely the season for the super short pixie, but this spring there is a new trend: the long pixie. This style created by Jet Rhys is tousled with texture and compliments every hair type from wavy or curly hair to straight or fine hair. For a more modern approach,  keep the front section of bangs swept to the side to help flatter your client's face.

3. Wash-and-Wear Long Hair
Let's face it - long, silky locks are pretty much always on-trend. Why? Because clients love how low-maintenance this style is and how this cut effortlessly falls in line with their natural bends and waves. This wash-and-go style created by Hair Creations Salon keeps flat irons and curling wands at bay unless your client wants to add a little oomph to their everyday look.

4. No-Fuss Bangs
Long, textured bangs are in front and center this season due to their low maintenance styling, hippie vibe and cool-girl feel. We’re seeing bangs of all sorts that stray away from your typical full fringe or blunt cut, but instead go a little more wispy or part in the center, just like this style from The Bird House

5. The Mini Shag

This blunt shag is all about texture and hits a little higher up near the chin making it reminiscent of a wispy bob. With or without bangs, it’s all about getting that volume with a bit of bend with texturizing and sea salt sprays. This style created by Fox and Jane is super-chic and perfect for the bob aficionados that want to try something a little bit edgier for spring.
